Layers on layers

Ningbo Museum -- Wang Shu (2012 Pritzker Prize winner, and the first Chinese architect to win the prize)

I love how much the walls of the building resemble layers of earth with archeological findings hidden inside. The patterns are made up of layers of tiles and bamboo collected from old buildings in the area. This way of building by reusing is traditional to the area, which seems really appropriate for a museum focused on history and customs.
